PROJECT ENGINEER

Oscar Renda Contracting, Inc., a Southland Company in Benton, AR, has a work-at-home Project Engineer position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems; the remote worksite must be within commuting distance of Benton, AR for weekly trips to the corporate office) to be responsible for providing engineering support to construction field staff. Specific duties include: (i) serving as point of contact for field crews for planning, specification compliance, ordering of materials; (ii) coordinating with specific subcontractors to include scheduling arrival, coordinating other field activities, and facilitating issue resolution; (iii) tracking cost of work; (iv) performing quantity take-offs; (v) tracking actual performance against planned performance; (vi) coordinating survey layout; (vii) handling issue resolution; and (viii) maintaining quality documentation.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.

Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6, and Trimble Business Center; (ii) analyzing and interpreting contract specifications, drawings, and project schedules; (iii) reviewing design build project documents, collaborating with Architects, evaluating architectural design options, and recommending cost saving measures; (iv) preparing subcontracts and purchase orders; (v) architectural design and 3D modeling; and (vi) Quality Control including plans and oversight of field Quality Control.
Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test.

Experience can be concurrent.
