Part Time Community Programs Assistant

Calling all Western Mass candidates! We’re partnering with a higher education institution in Williamstown, MA looking to bring on a Part Time Community Programs Assistant for 20/hrs./wk. If you have a background in programs, events, and an interest in working with students, this is the job for you!

This position is 2-3 months temporary with potential for an extension.

Compensation: $23-25/hr. (temporary)

Days/Hours : 20/hrs./wk.- Can be flexible between a 9-5pm schedule.

• This will require this person to work 3 days on-site 6.5/hrs. per day.
• This position will require the occasional need for work on Saturdays/Sundays for events.

Responsibilities:

• Staff Community Engagement Programs, providing a warm, inclusive and welcoming environment for our visitors.
• Prepare art materials and program ephemera as assigned.
• Help brainstorm program activities with education department staff.
• Organize and put away program materials in Education Storage areas.
• Help to maintain education installments such as the art office and the postal station
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2- years of program or events experience
• Must be willing to work with undergraduate students and some 9-12 students at times. Be ok with a student facing environment.
• Must be friendly, approachable and reliable with a strong work ethic and can follow directions with ease.
