Murphy Transport Services is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Loader to join our team. The Loader will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading cargo, ensuring all goods are properly handled, secured, and accounted for. This role is crucial in supporting the smooth and timely movement of goods, maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload goods onto trucks, following all safety guidelines to prevent damage to cargo.
Arrange and secure cargo to optimize space and maintain load balance.
Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
Work collaboratively with drivers, warehouse staff, and other loaders to ensure efficient loading schedules.
Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed (training provided if required).
Assist with inventory control, checking items against shipment lists.
Maintain a clean and organized loading area.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a loading or warehouse role is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
