Job Description

Education: High School graduation or satisfactory equivalent (GED) and completion of 30 semester, or 45 quarter units in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Graphics, or Web Design courses or related field from an accredited college or university. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.

Experience: Two years of experience in the consulting, design, development, and maintenance of various web sites.

Highly Desired Qualifications:
Front-End Development Mastery:
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Solid understanding of core web technologies is crucial for building any website.
Responsive Design: Ability to create websites that adapt seamlessly to various screen sizes (desktops, tablets, and mobile phones).
CSS Frameworks: Experience with frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation, or Tailwind CSS for efficient and consistent styling.
CMS Proficiency:
Drupal:
Theme Development: Creating custom Drupal themes or modifying existing ones.
WordPress:
Theme Development: Creating or customizing WordPress themes.
Version Control:
Git: Using Git for tracking code changes, collaborating with others, and managing different versions of a website.
User Experience (UX) Design:
User Research: Understanding user needs and behaviors to inform design decisions.
Information Architecture: Organizing website content logically and intuitively.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Creating visual representations of website structure and interactions.
User Interface (UI) Design:
Visual Design Principles: Applying principles of typography, color theory, and layout to create aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
Accessibility: Designing websites that are usable by people with disabilities (following WCAG guidelines).
