Medical Tagalog Interpreter (Full-Time, Onsite)

Job Summary:

Big Language Solutions is seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Tagalog Interpreter to join our team at either our Tampa, FL or Phoenix, AZ location. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of diverse communities by facilitating accurate and culturally sensitive communication between healthcare providers and Tagalog-speaking patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret medical conversations accurately and confidentially between healthcare providers and Tagalog-speaking patients in real-time.
• Ensure cultural nuances and context are considered to provide accurate interpretation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Support healthcare teams in understanding and addressing cultural differences during patient interactions.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain and enhance interpretation skills.

Shifts Offered (PST):

• Shift 1: 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
• Shift 2: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Shift 3: 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Tagalog and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Certification: Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) or Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI) preferred but it is not required.
• Experience: Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting is required.
• Professional Skills: Strong understanding of medical terminology, cultural competence, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other healthcare-related policies.
