Job Title:  Seasonal Tax Preparer

Location:  Edina, MN (This role is 100% onsite and only local candidates in MN will be considered)

Pay Rate:  Up to $33/hr depending on applicable experience

Addison Group is partnering with a local CPA and tax firm to find an experienced Tax Preparer to join their team for the 2025 tax season. The primary focus of this role will be preparing 1040 personal returns, C-Corp, S-Corp, and 1065 partnership returns. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing firm and make an impact during the busy tax season.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Analyze financial information and documents to determine proper tax liability.
• Utilize tax software and tools to accurately calculate taxes owed or refunds due.
• Stay up to date on current tax laws, regulations, and changes in the market.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering client questions and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial documents and information.
• Maintain client confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive information.
• Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability for clients.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience (2 years minimum) as a tax preparer or in a similar role.
• Current PTIN preferred
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to analyze financial data accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
