THE ROLE:
- As a Mechanical Designer, you'll collaborate across teams to develop innovative mechanical components for game-changing products. Your work will shape designs that are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective, bringing bold ideas to life through prototyping and testing
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanical components for robotic mowers, working with cross-functional teams
- Use SolidWorks to create 3D models and manufacturing drawings
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-efficiency
- Participate in design reviews, offering actionable insights to improve product designs
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful prototyping, testing, and production
- Assemble prototypes and conduct rigorous testing of mechanical and electrical systems, documenting results
- Operate and test commercial mowing equipment after proper training
- Maintain engineering documentation and create user-facing technical materials
WHO YOU ARE:

Key Requirements:
- Associate degree in engineering, mechanical design, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience
- Expertise in designing and detailing sheet metal components, weldments, and assemblies
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics and perform basic calculations
- Hands-on experience with hand and power tools for prototype assembly and testing
- Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with outdoor power equipment, robotics, or construction machinery is a plus
