Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized professional to join our client's dynamic team as a Marketing and Business Development Manager. In this role, you will provide essential marketing and business development support to senior leaders and key stakeholders across the firm. This is a hybrid role in New York with 3 days a week in office offering a competitive base compensation and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of relevant experience ideally from a legal or law firm setting and/or professional services.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the pitch and proposal process, ensuring timely and effective creation of proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and post-submission follow-up with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement tailored marketing strategies for individual professionals and practice groups to drive client development and business growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members, attend meetings to better understand their objectives, track opportunities, and encourage internal collaboration on key initiatives.
  • Monitor and document business development opportunities, providing necessary support to professionals and practice teams while tracking ongoing progress.
  • Conduct market research to uncover new cross-selling opportunities and engage prospective clients through both current and potential contacts.
  • Prepare submissions for practice and industry directories, rankings, and awards.
  • Coordinate and execute client-facing events such as seminars, networking gatherings, and joint initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and distribute marketing content, including firm updates, attorney bios, practice group details, and notable achievements.
  • Assist in developing public relations strategies with internal teams and external agencies to enhance the firm’s visibility and media presence.
  • Utilize the firm’s CRM system to support business development efforts for individual professionals and practice teams.
  • Participate in firm-wide projects, contributing to the growth and enhancement of marketing and business development functions.
  • Other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in a marketing or business development role, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools.
  • Independent and team-oriented work style with the ability to navigate complex situations and solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a self-motivated, customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
