Job Description

Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician. Under general supervision, this position will perform a wide variety of engineering duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment.

• Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs.

• Monitors all operating equipment and systems (boilers, chillers, AHU's, pumps, water heaters, cooling towers, etc.) to ensure they are operating properly and safely at maximum efficiency.

• Performs engineering rounds and checks equipment for proper operating functionality and performs minor repairs and adjustments as needed.

• Performs corrective maintenance duties including, but not limited to: replacement and repair of ceiling tiles, drywall, floor tile, cover base, light fixtures, bulbs, lamps, and door hardware.

• Reviews work order reports to ensure accuracy of documentation processing and resolves discrepancies in accordance with departmental procedures.

• Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

• Minimum two (2) years experience as an engineering services technician

• Knowledge of safety practices in handling of tools and machinery

• Knowledge of hazardous materials and proper handling of such materials
