Overview:International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a US-based international development consulting company, is seeking an Intern- International Project Support (IPS) to work in our Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) practice. This part-time position would be available to start as soon as possible.

This position is based in IBTCI’s home office located in Vienna, VA (currently in Hybrid mode, going to office twice a week).

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Conduct research for proposal support, including requests for information, project research, etc.
• Provide project support including transcribing meeting notes, formatting documents and graphics.
• Source and recruit candidates.
• Format resumes.
• Create personnel bios, matrices, etc.
• Prepare project descriptions.
• Organize and maintain files, both hard copy and electronic.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months’ work experience in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Oral and written fluency in English required, fluency in another language preferred.

Education:At least 2 years of college education in International Affairs, Economics, Business, English or other related area; master's students preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Background and interest in Agricultural Development, Food Security and Resilience, in international development settings are preferred.

Working Environment:Work is performed in a typical corporate office environment.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that required the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: No travel is required.

Work Authorization:Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
