Job Title : Fiber Technician

Location : Las Vegas, NV

Type : Full time, On-site

Position Overview :

As a Fiber Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic cables issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Interpret and work from technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Follow company regulations for underground utilities excavation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nevada driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• OSHA 10 Construction Industry
• Experience with underground utilities preferred.
• Proven experience in fiber optic installations and related construction activities.
• Proficiency in using fiber optic tools and equipment, such as OTDRs, splicing machines and power meters.
• Technical certification or degree in related field is preferred.
• Experience in micro trenching is a plus.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions and perform physical tasks, such as lifting, climbing and operating in confined spaces.
