Database Manager / Administor

Our work depends on an experienced Database Manager / Administrator joining our team to provide data analysis, analytical thinking, database administration, data governance and quality management, and the ability to interpret complex data to extract actionable insights, often utilizing tools like SQL and data visualization software to present effectively findings.

HOW A DATABASE ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Coordinates changes to databases, tests and implements the database.


  • Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard computer databases.


  • Develops standards and user guidelines to access database.


  • Modifies existing databases and database management systems,


  • Plans, coordinates and implements security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.


  • Schedules, plans, and supervises the installation and testing of new products.


  • Monitors database performance and develops optimum values for database parameters.


  • Specifies users and user access levels. Identifies and evaluates industry trends in database systems.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or related field. Master's Degree, MBA, or PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.


  • Required Experience: 6+ years of related experience


  • Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated capabilities in the following areas - data analysis, analytical thinking, communication, database administration, data governance and quality management, and the ability to interpret complex data to extract actionable insights. May be asked to help with data visualization to effectively present findings.


  • Security Clearance Level: None. Must be able to successfully complete Agency-specific Suitability background check.


  • Required Skills and Abilities: self-starter, continuous learner


  • Preferred Skills: Higher degrees are desirable with certification of programs. Such as Oracle Certification Program and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator.


  • Location: On-site at customer site in Southern New Jersey


  • Must have a valid US Passport

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
