Akkodis is looking for an Avionics Technician (Lead & Senior) role in Moses Lake, WA, please review the details below:

This role involves modifying, servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft avionics systems to ensure airworthiness. The ideal candidate will have experience in wiring practices, avionics troubleshooting, and aircraft systems maintenance while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies.

Salary Range: $68,000-92,000/annum with benefits

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks while adhering to FAA regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies.
• Review and update FAA and customer paperwork for compliance.
• Oversee and co-sign work for uncertified mechanics in accordance with GTI RSM procedures.
• Perform and approve maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alterations on aircraft systems.
• Lead On-the-Job Training (OJT) for mechanics and new hires.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair avionics systems, wiring, and electrical components.
• Properly use and maintain avionics hand tools for repairs and installations.
• Fabricate wire bundles and assemblies per drawings and standard wiring practices.
• Test avionics systems and make necessary adjustments.
• Support engineering and prototyping needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of avionics experience required.
• Certifications: Airframe (A) or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License is a plus; B1, B1.1, and/or B2 certification is a plus.
• Proficient with the Standard Wiring Practices Manual.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems, electrical wiring, and avionics diagnostics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to travel and work overtime as required.
• Must be able to comply with the DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work overhead, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
• Normal or corrected vision is required to perform precise avionics work.
• Ability to work in a non-dust-free environment and comply with safety protocols.
